Steamboat is a Wild West ranching town. The old town and the mountain village are three miles apart, with a regular free shuttle service bridging the gap.

The bars and restaurants around the base provide Steamboat's most lively après, with the Slopeside Grill particularly popular, though if you are looking for a night of live music then head down to the Tugboat. The old town of Steamboat just a short bus ride away provides more choice and the 8th Street Steakhouse is great for big social groups.

Cat skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling are also available to create the perfect mix off the slopes. A 'must' is a visit to Strawberry Park Hot springs - three natural hot pools in a beautiful woodland setting, only eight miles from Steamboat itself, offering the perfect way to relax tired limbs.

Steamboat Grand Resort

The Steamboat Grand Resort sits in a fantastic location right opposite the slopes and resort base, with the old town of Steamboat just 5 minutes away by complimentary hotel shuttle.

Rabbit Ears Hotel

The Rabbit Ears Hotel in Steamboat has an excellent location in the heart of the old town, close to the bars, shops and restaurants. A ski shuttle stops outside to take guests on the 5 minutes (approx) journey to the slopes.

Timber Run

The Timber Run is of Steamboat's best value properties, located in the mountain village close to the Gondola Square bars, shops, and restaurants. There is a complimentary private shuttle available throughout the day for easy access to the skiing whist the gondola itself is only 450m away.
